Stepping Stones...

...on the river Wharfe. What a lovely day it has been. Misty to start with, then sunshine all day and really warm, just like a summers day.

We intended to walk to Simon's Seat from Bolton Abbey, near Skipton in North Yorkshire. A steep climb to the top and then across moorland and back down to the river. Unfortunately walking on the moor was banned as there was a grouse shoot taking place!

So instead we did a circular walk along and around the river, about 8 miles via a rather nice tea shop.

This shot was taken on the way back, we didn't attempt to cross!
