Pea-souper!
No, not a thick fog, just Duck Weed!
An amazing short section of canal. So pleased we chose this route. We hadn't gone far this morning before we encounteded Duck Weed, a tiny 2-leafed plant which built up in numbers over a couple of days, said a local, to entirely cover the surface of the canal. It was like travelling through pea soup. No kingfishers along this bit, then, they can't even see the water, let alone the fish!
It was such a lovely morning that we had lunch on the fore-deck with a bottle of rose wine.
A truly wonderful day, though not without tears, it was tough work holding the boat steady on the mid line through so many wide locks.
I get very little chance for internet connection so, sorry, no comments!
