Incredible inkcaps

It's strange how when you make comment on something (see yesterday's blip) you become even more aware. This mushroom is a white cylinder when it first emerges from the ground. Over time, a bell shaped caps open out to reveal fluted gills, and it turns from white to the inky black colour which gives this particular fungus its name – Shaggy Inkcap.
