Whoops!
After a couple of nights away and a days team building with various colleagues from across our new company it was time for home. The way there Took us 5 hours so we were braced for a long journey. I was travelling ken a colleague from keswick as he has a company car, so I was passenger which wasn't too bad as It's usually me driving because I like driving. Anyway we had a detour through the centre of Lincoln as neither of us had ever been there. The cathedral was truly an imposing building almost overlooking the town centre it looked amazing bathed in sunshine. It was then decided to fill up with fuel before hitting the A1 and M1 and there premium fuel prices. We found a sainsbury's and ken got out and filled up. A couple of miles down the road and the car seemed to splutter and a warning light came on. As I was busy looking through the handbook to find the meaning of the light the dawning on knes face was a picture !! He'd filled his diesel car With petrol!! So we came to a halt in a layby!! It was sunny and warm. Next was the RAC call and believe it or not this happens so often that they have a fuel patrol as van specifically designed for the job. And so we were back on the road home within 2 hours which I thought was amazing. Apparently this guy does about 4 A DAY!! So ken isn't the only donkey on the road!!!
