Tonight, after dinner, dad said he was headed to the store and asked me if I needed anything. Here was our conversation.

mom: "chocolate"
dad: "Miles, do you need anything?"
Miles: "Ummmmmm......Ummmmmm....waffles"
dad: "we have waffles"
Miles: "oh, that's right. right here in this freezer. how about bananas?"
mom: "we have bananas" (mom went to hold up the bananas)
Miles: "we have 3 bananas" (correct count too!)
dad: "anything else you need?"
Miles: "carrots"
dad: "ok, I will get you some carrots"
Miles: "I want to go to the store too, daddy. Can I go to the store?"

His communication skills continues to amaze me.

So we all went to the store and then came home for bath and movie night. It was the perfect night to stay in and cuddle in front of the fire as the weather was horrible. We watched Monsters, Inc and Miles enjoyed special kettle corn I brought home from Japan. He told me "thank you! I like it, it's yummy"
