Gabriela's in NYC

Gabriela's is a Mexican restaurant that first opened in rather modest quarters at the foot of our block on Manhattan's upper West Side (at 93rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue). We have fond memories of eating there, but a few years later they moved to larger quarters, and it's no longer the same. They're now at Columbus and 94th, where I took this shot this evening. (There's scaffolding along the façade.)

We ate elsewhere, with our New York/Paris friend Dorothy. We drove from Northampton this morning, to attend a cousin's wedding in the city tomorrow. On Sunday we leave for other parts--stay tuned!
