Star

It was a gloomy day almost all day and then a couple of hours after I took this picture, the sun came out briefly. I don't know if these stars are popular in other countries, but they are very popular around here. Lots of them on houses, garages and barns, maybe they are all looking for that guiding star to lead in the right direction. I actually wanted to blip Logan, my son, because in my eyes he is a STAR. He's not home yet, he will be later, but he is also not a willing subject. In his 19 years he has experienced a lot of loss, disappointment and tragedy. But he has also experienced a lot of personal success. His sister was 4.5 years older than him and she was his Hero. He wanted to be as good as her, especially in school and basketball. He achieved those things and she was so proud of him. He wanted her admiration and he got that too. One of her friends, an exceptional athlete in 3 sports, befriended him after she passed away, trying to help Logan understand addiction and what it takes to play college sports, But unfortunately 7 months after he lost Sumner, Logan lost Mike to addiction as well. He has worked hard and done a lot of soul searching and spiritual searching and has come to a positive peaceful place. His college basketball season starts in less than a month and he is ready. His coach describes him as driven, an exceptional influence and a leader among the younger kids on his team, and most of all very teachable. So he is my STAR. DDWSept13
