Brotherswater

Car packed with camping gear and Canadian canoe on the roof rack, Mr M, Louie the faithful hound and I set off for the Lakes for a couple of days' away from it all.

After pottering around in Pooley Bridge and a stroll by Ullswater, we pitched the tent at Sykeside campsite - fabulous location in the hills (and, unlike most of the festival campsites we've encountered this summer, excellent facilities including hot showers!). A bite to eat, walk round Brotherswater and a wee dram before bed...
