At a loss

A sad weegie house this evening.

Mr S was called through to Paisley this evening as his dad was taken to hospital, and sadly - he passed away this evening.

The girls are very upset as he was their last grandparent. It's really tough breaking news like that to them. Although their friends have been lovely and sent them messages on FB etc almost immediately.

Grandpa S was a submariner. He was also a very keen sailor and nursed Grandma for many years when she was ill. He had recently bought a boat and a sports car and even an electric bike.

He was always a very fit man, and was studying an OU course in Maths in his spare time (like father like son !)...sadly he was diagnosed with Asbestosis (contracted from his time on the submarine) and the last 12 months were very difficult for him as he became less mobile.

He was much loved by his family and grandchildren. And we miss him loads. xxx
