Pigs

There seems to be a theme this week of my blip pics... Pigs.

And talking of pigs... Which I appreciate is a very derogatory term but that's how I feel these days... PC S came round (eventually after calling several times to reiterate it would be easier (for her) as she's on light duties) if I came to her at the station to retract my statement !!!! Whaaatttt errrrr no.

Soooo 2pm today pc plod (oh did I mention she's on light duties)... Came round to retract my statement as I don't want to go to court to be interrogated by the defence for witnessing a vicious physical assault on a shop assistant in a shop which the two attackers are now denying.

The witness protection team have already contacted me and made the same veiled threats so I am prepared for pc plods warning that although I am retracting my statement the court could decide to summons me anyway - which apparently is highly likely as I am a strong independent witness - then they could summons me to attend court to force me to give evidence and if I don't agree to being summonsed they will issue a warrant for my arrest.

So that's charming... You innocently witness a nasty attack. Purely timing I was stood where I was... Seconds sooner or later I wouldn't have seen a thing but I did and thought I was being a good citizen giving my statement. At no time did the police ever tell me that by giving a statement if you change your mind you could be forced to give evidence and if you don't they can issue a warrant for your arrest. If they had I would have denied all knowledge of seeing anything. What a world we live in. The pc even agreed with me the moral of the story is never to help anyone.

I feel very shell shocked, sad and upset. I was only trying to help someone because one day you might need someone to help you.

I am a changed person after the last few weeks events. This is just one of my worries I could do without.
