SHADES OF JACKSON POLLOCK
It is blowing a gale outside and I was hoping to blip the pear blossom. After numerous attempts I chose this one because it reminded me of the lovely textured paintings by Jackson Pollock.
The tree is very old, probably close to 100 years. When we walk on the koppie and look down on the valley we can pick out all these ancient trees by their white blossom. The fruit is on the woody side but I am told that in the old days the green pears were roasted with the leg of lamb for the Sunday dinner.
