Clock on the walls of Chester
I had to go to Chester this morning and it was a glorious day as you can see from the blue sky! I took the opportunity of taking a shot of the clock while no one was standing underneath or beside it which is not easy! The clock is over an arch in the main high street and has four faces, one each side on the high street and one each side on the walls.
The walls were built in Roman times and form the most complete city walls in Britain. They have been restored over the years and for the Victorians the walls became a fashionable place for them to 'promenade' around and they are still very popular for tourists today.
