Popping up everywhere

I noticed these mushrooms when I was out walking the dog yesterday, and I went back today in the hope that they were still there and had not been kicked over by some passer-by. There were so many of them, all shapes and sizes and of differing species, and there was a real pungent 'mushroom' smell, sort of fungal and earthy.

The weekend at last - Gavin gets home tomorrow and we are all going out for lunch at a nearby pub to celebrate his birthday that was on Wednesday. The boys don't have matches this weekend so for a change it will be a relaxing Saturday.
