The Malthouse
Tucked away on a side road on the outskirts of Blenheim is The Malthouse. This old dilapidated brick building is alongside the Opawa River and dates back to the late 19th century. Much barley was grown in the vicinity and was stored in the Malthouse. Some of the barley was used to manufacture malt and some was used for brewing.
The building is on private land and is crumbling into more disrepair. But it is an interesting place to photograph and just ripe for blipping.
