Drenched...again

I checked the weather radar before taking off to the woods with the pooch...not a sign of precipitation in sight. The waterfall by the old grain mill is usually nothing but a trickle and I was curious to see what it looked like after yesterday's deluge.

By the time we reached the thundering creek it was pouring again, and so muddy that walking was tricky. I decided to keep the camera in my pocket. We got a proper soaking in the ten minutes it took to walk home. Pooch is clean, her fur all shiny from her impromptu shower and vigorous drying with fresh towels. My hair is doing some wild, semi curly thing, I rather like it.

This is the perfect day for putting the finishing touches on a project for my cousin and doing an overdue email box backup and clean-out. Sounds like more rain is starting to come down....mmm, it's very soothing.
