Hydro

I took this photo as I was leaving the SECC this morning to send to Freya. She has been watching the construction of the Hydro with baited breath as we have tickets to see the Arctic Monkeys in a few weeks time and she was anxious it wouldn't be ready on time. When I arrived at 8.45am there were loads of workies laying turf, finishing the cobbles and laying red carpet at the entrance but by 11.30 when I emerged they had all vanished and were replaced by tourists. The media preview and VIP opening were today with Rod Stewart doing the first gig on Monday.

All went well with my presentation and it was nice to talk to the scot gov folks about the progress of the early years collaborative.

I went to pottery for the last time tonight and finished glazing all my bowls. I'm sad that I don't have time to do it anymore but I'm proud of the work that I've produced. So glad to have a long weekend off. Bliss!
