Dunbar Milepost

Sunny at lunchtime so grabbed my sandwich and went for a walk round the campus gardens and grounds. Saw this milepost - Dunbar 1 mile - so obviously it was somewhere else originally. The E presumably is Edinburgh as that would be 29 miles from Dunbar but where would the R and H be??
