Lake Lugano and Gandria

It has been alleged I focus a little too much on food. Today we went to Gandria on Lake Lugano, about a mile or so inside Switzerland. We arrived about noon, and so naturally we had lunch while we were there, but this was genuinely not the main reason for going there.

The photograph is taken from the balcony of the restaurant looking south towards Italy. Another very hot day. The promised cloud never really materialised except in the form of the haze which can be seen in the picture.

We returned to Lenno in the afternoon stopping for an hour or two in Menaggio to do some shopping. Our time here on this visit is fast drawing to a conclusion, and so our thoughts begin to turn to preparations for the return to Aberdeen. I shall attempt to ban the word "Food" and associated thoughts from future posting for at least a few weeks.
