Play Time

This started out as an accident. I was trying out a macro lighting set up and briefly blinded myself when the flash went off while I was close to the lens.

I then tried time and time again to repeat the shot to capture the intricate pattern in the iris, focusing was to put it mildly difficult. It isn't perfect; there are reflections from the eyelashes, nose, eye lid, etc, but it was fascinating to look so closely at something I usually look out from.
