Blue - an antidote to red!

I'd planned on doing some shopping today - the weather forecast said dull. However, as there was quite a bit of blue in the sky, I went via the River Don in town. I always hope rather than expect to see kingfishers down there, and it's been a while, but today I was in luck, and I had my bridge camera with me. It has a reasonable zoom on it, which was useful as the bird was perched on the far bank of the river. It's great to see a kingfisher in this urban environment, on a river that not so long ago was declared dead. The building behind is the Albion Works, a machine tools company. I'm tempted to return tomorrow with my big lens.
