Farm Shop Barn

I rattled my way through the lumpy concrete back way to the barn with my trolley so that I could get this photo. I avoided meeting any of the staff in the courtyard's eyes in case I was challenged as it wasn't the official way in! It really is a very big barn where the fruit and veg are set out for sale - the front way in isn't as good a photo as they have attached some lower buildings where posh sauces/food and home/garden stuff is sold. I got some rice crackers made in Japan from there the other day - they are really delicious, but cost over £3 for about 15 of them. I had a bit of a complaining stomach yesterday and they went down really well for tea!

Before going into the farm shop I stopped for a pot of tea in their cafe and sat in a comfy chair for a while. This was to recover from a mammoth trip round Asda looking for items to put into two shoeboxes for Eastern Europe (for Christmas - you have to do it well in advance because they need to be packed up and transported over there). I realise I have WAY over-bought - there is just no way that I will get everything into two boxes! My son said I have enough for another two Christmases! I may just try and get hold of another few - or ten - shoe boxes for this year! :-)
