wide eyed wonder

I had just finished my "blip walk," i.e. walking around the neighborhood with my camera at the ready, intentionally looking for a picture perfect moment, but had not been inspired by much. So before heading into the house, I went around to our backyard to pick up any trash that had blown in from the high winds yesterday. Much to my surprise, and I think to the bird's surprise too, I came face to face with this bespectacled beauty in our peach tree.
