Birthdays

Today is my mom's birthday, but I'm in the city for the week so we will celebrate later. Instead, Sreya and I made dinner for Ven, whose birthday is later this month and which she never likes to play up.

This is her plate (artful creature that she is). Italian herb risotto (from a box) with beans, butternut squash ravioli with butter, sage and nut sauce, a salad, and strawberries and ice cream for dessert.

A good dinner with good friends.
