Rod & Stewart

Up in time for sunrise over Selingan Island, a walk on the beach and the release of a couple of baby turtles, which Tess quickly christened Rod & Stewart before letting them scuttle across the sand to take their chance in the ocean; very few actually make it to come back to the island at least 15 years later to lay eggs of their own.

After breakfast it was back to the mainland, followed by a trip to Sepilok Orangutan reserve (I've added my favourite orangutan shot to my Borneo blipfolio), then a 2 hour drive to a lodge on the Kinabatangan River for a boat safari at dusk where we saw lots of monkeys, birds and a crocodile, despite the torrential rain.
