Another Duck!

Not a cricket one, but a tall aquatic version!

An evening walk round Peatmoor Lagoon again today produced a chance to photograph what I thought on were the young of Monday's blip. I think I've changed my mind, as this one and another really looked quite different when out of the water. They stand very tall and have a greenish bill/beak but otherwise are a fairly neutral colour.

They, and the mallards, had all arrived as they thought we had food; and as you can see they got very close to check us out. At one point I had trouble getting the whole duck in the frame as they were even closer than in this shot!
Once they found out we were not bearing food they gave up in disgust!
