Falling Over . . .

All is quiet and tranquil on the banks of the Credit River as the first leaves prepare for the Fall pageant of colour . . .

Tired and shagged out is the best phrase to describe how Jools and I feel after another marathon trek along the Credit Valley Footpath beside the river. Bad name - the 'footpath' climbs up and down the steep river bank - a narrow, slippery trail, the edge often inches from a steep precipice above the river. It's only 2km, but the two-way trip to the railway bridge and back took us an hour and a half to negotiate.

Now I'm sitting in the garden nestling in the shade of a cool bottle of white wine. Jools is barbecuing dinner . . .
