Cruising chute
Sailing up to Shotley but at this time no guarantee we will make it before the pubs close.
Saffron has a grassy *rs* and barnacles on her bum so is trolling along rather reluctantly. We gave her a brush down as far as we could reach in the marina this morning but there's still a lot of boat that is far from smooth.
This is the first time we've had the chute up, we left George to steer the boat while David and I faffed about getting it hoisted, it is about the same area as the main and genoa put together so when we finally got it drawing it did make a difference.
Then we got the tide in our favour and romped into Harwich before it got dark.
BTW George is the Autohelm - brilliant helmsman and doesn't get distracted either.....
