Slow
Thanks to broadband you can achieve vast amounts of tasks in a very short space of time.
Then you go to the Post office...
Don't get me wrong, they do a fine job there, some of the time, but when you've just stepped off your high-speed internet connection and found yourself queueing for at least five minutes tempers can get frayed.
Not mine I hasten to add, as I have affinity with all counter-staff having spent vast swathes of my life in service (which naturally makes me grumpy when I get bad service) so I look to the ceiling and pass the time checking out the myriad security cameras.
What I'm saying is that as we accelerate even faster online real-life seems really slow.
And I like that (although it can be like jet-lag switching from one speed to another.)
I sold all my CDs last week - and this week I'm digging out the turntable....
Uriah Heep anyone????
