Anyone for conkers?

The Horse Chestnut trees seem to have excelled themselves this Autumn and the conkers are huge , shiny and the most beautiful colour. These are my subject for my drawing today and then I will take them out of their prickly shells ( that's the best bit isn't it?!) and then place them in the corners of the rooms to ward off spiders- I am convinced it works ..........
I love seeing the children playing conkers- the game never seems to lose its charm and excitement.
