PURPLE IRISES

At the moment they are "taking a bow" in the garden and flowering all over the place. I love the way there is a roll out of flowers each taking centre stage for a week or two. The daffodils, violets and snowdrops are no more and the watsonias, irises and the blossom on the old pear tree are stepping up at the moment. I just hope that I do not miss the roses as we will be away for most of October.
