New Wings

It's been quite cloudy most of the day with the sun trying to show it's face and not succeeding except for a few minutes here and there, as a result the garden has been very quiet. There were a few birdies around including this very young goldfinch, which was accompanied by a parent who occasionally fed it - I would have thought it was far too late in the year to be bringing out fledglings, I guess they think it's ok as there is always plenty of food on offer. Anyway, here he is fluttering about and trying out his new wings :-))
