Snake in the grass

a real live snake right in front of me on my walk today, not my favourite sight but the first time I have seen one when I have my camera ready to go. Sorry for the short dof but I didn't have the wits to change my f stop up I was in such a fright!

I wandered here and there today trying to find a blip. Decided to take a short cut across the bog to the other path through the woods. The Adder was on a tussock in front of me and didn't see me straight away, I don't think they have very good eyesight. Managed to change to my long lens and took about 4 shots before it noticed and slid away.

Don't look large it's far too scary! but you can see some scale detail if you open one eye.

An early blip today because I am off to the camera club tonight for the first meeting since summer.
