Another Place Crosby.
We got off the ferry in Liverpool at 6am and drove 5 minutes to Crosby where we waited until it was light enough to make out the hundred figures in cast iron positioned along 3 kilometres of coast and up to a kilometre out to sea. Anthony Gormley made a mould of himself and then cast these life size figures some of which get covered by the sea at high tide. It was very impressive as the light revealed more and more figures in the distance.
Then on to home via Bolton, surprising my aunt and her husband at breakfast where we cadged a cuppa and a piece of toast.
I liked the way we could see the lights of Liverpool docks in the distance since we had just left the ferry.
