Madame de la Tinkus Trott

I love the name. Mundy conjured it up when leaving a message for me from a friend that had phoned, and whose name he'd forgotten. I knew immediately who he meant and there is some strange resemblance to her in this drawing! In similar absent-minded mode, he sketched this picture, using permanent markers, in one of his notebooks and completely obliterated interesting comment on social representations on the reverse. I love his use of colour. It brings to mind a John Ruskin quote: The purest and most thoughtful minds are those which love colour the most.
