Vines

Our friends left this morning to return to Portland after almost a week's visit, and I am trying to keep busy so I don't dwell on their absence; laundry, gardening, miscellaneous tidying up, and a long walk filled the day. How quickly and easily the threads of our lives intertwine--long meals, short strolls, warm hours of conversation. We need to plan another visit soon.
