Hillfoots

A lovely flight from Stornoway to Edinburgh this afternoon - beautiful views over Highland Scotland all the way down. This picture has a special significance to me, however. In the foreground is Alloa and the meanders of the River Forth - behind are the Ochil Hills with the towns of Alva (in the upper-centre) and Tillicoultry (upper right corner). Tillicoultry is where I grew up and Alva is where I mostly went to school. In the 30+ years that I have been making this flight I have never seen them so clearly from the air - at least not with a camera in hand. Lots of memories.
