Hamelia patens: Firebush (in the rain)

Rain, rain, Rain, rain, RAIN!!

This is a close up of our firebush in the RAIN. We had 3 inches yesterday and it is still coming down some. The firebush is one of the many beautiful plants Ann Hall and Grant Blackwell added to our previously plain front yard after they ripped out the lawn. This plant started out slowly, but with all the rain and sun we've had this small bush is taking on a lovely shape. And now I have shaped it to fit Square September! Looks like it is raining in New Zealand as well ...... geeze. Better get the boats ready!
