Walking in the Cork Estate

The Herdade das Barradas da Serra is a working Cork Farm and has 3 walking trails - so today was the day for a real exploration we were grateful to the family dog who helped keep us on the right track. The cork is harvested from each tree once every 10 years. It takes that time for the trees to regrow their bark.
