Spidey Tea Time

Today, although overcast for most of the day was still quite warm and the sun finally made an appearance late afternoon. Lunch time I headed out on my bike for an 8 mile cycle ride through local lanes and eventually onto the main roads. I am always a little nervous about cycling on the main roads but need to gain more confidence and not just stick to cycle free paths, and it was fine. No close shaves with cars thankfully! Still amazes me that lots of people cycle without a helmet on, just cannot understand why you would want to put yourself at risk when a simple helmet could save your life if you were to come off and hit your head. I hope that eventually government will make it compulsory that all cyclists wear helmets and I am behind the campaign for this to happen, 100% In other news, just made my usual delicious chilli con carne with a bit of extra heat this time! Made enough to feed an army me thinks! Whilst I was in the kitchen I saw this spider back on its web again so out I went and snapped this shot of it tucking into its dinner. I wonder if it was as nice as my chilli?!!!
