Here we go again

The boys love having their photo taken at our gate on the first day back at school. And that's George in morning (pre-school) nursery now. We were up, scrubbed and polished, dressed and out nice and early. The neighbours waved cheerily as we set out, with Matthew and Andrew on their bikes, George on his scooter and me walking. Lovely.

They waved again when we came back for Matthew's schoolbag ("doughball", said I to Matthew). But the neighbours had gone by the time we came back for the water bottles that I'd forgotten to give them ("doughball" said Matthew to me). Still in plenty of time, though.

I'm sure by next week we'll be remembering the bags and bottles, but making it to school just in the nick of time.
