SHARK IN THE ROOF

This rooftop sculpture is at 2 New High Street,Headington,Oxford.Bill Heine an American,decided to install the shark as a symbol of the futility of this fragile planet trying to control its destiny in a nuclear age.
The city council tried to get rid of it on the grounds it was dangerous to the public, but they lost the case and its been there since 1986.Its famous worldwide though I have never seen or heard about it until now. Thought it would make a change from all the caterpillars of late.
