PERPENDICULAR: DDW September 24 challenge

My friend M passed away last night.

This picture is entirely composed of perpendiculars. Things are not always what they seem. Death, I feel sure, is not merely what it seems. It is that, and more.

M's death was sooner than anyone predicted. She was suffering a great deal and this was a mercy. I know our prayers and thoughts helped her make this difficult passage. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

There are others in this community with heavy hearts. I include them in these prayers.

May M's soul, and the souls of all the departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Grant, O God, to all who are bereaved the spirit of faith and courage, that they may have strength to meet the days to come with steadfastness and patience; not sorrowing as those without hope, but in thankful remembrance of your goodness, and in the joyful expectation of eternal life with those they love.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
