If you're into peeling paint and cracked door stuff, Symi is the place for you. There are ruins all over the island and this one is right outside our apartment. The theme is somewhat done to death by anyone with a camera here and I was trying to resist the temptation but.... I finally caught the twenty minutes that the sun shines on this one so here it is.

Symi has a preservation order on any building work, any new buildings must be built on original ruins and in the traditional style of the island. So absolutely no glaring eye-sores here....unless ruins aren't your thing.
