Into Cairns today to see a movie with junior and then shop for some Lego (the things we do for love!)
We saw 'Planes', made by the same mob who made 'Cars'..thankfully the plots are more original than the titles.. and then wandered through the tiny city centre.
A street sign proclaimed we were 15127 kms from London and while a blissful, slow blip walk of this lovely part of the world would be the go, as this is 'junior time' this is an on the run blip.
The streets are peppered with gorgeous, mosaicked seats and benches each depicting aspects of tropical Queensland.
Fruits, flowers and fishes, crocs, turtles and goannas.

And yes it is hot and humid!
