BLUE
A quiet, peaceful day today. The sun shone, the mountain gleamed with a dusting of new snow. The garden is left wild and is now full of seed pods, deep blue Gentians, pink scabious, clover and thyme underfoot. The crickets and bugs are bright red, orange, green, turquoise and huge. I have photos of them but have not found out what they all are yet. Butterflies flutter over the grass, and the willow hedge is a haven for Black Redstarts, Blackcaps, Willow Warblers and Firecrests. Overhead are Buzzards, Nutcrackers and just once, a Black Woodpecker.
Heaven. And finished off with a very loud and explosive thunderstorm late in the evening.
