Faces of Fiona #88
Monday. Our day to pick up the granddaughters from school. But today it was just Fiona as Tatum is away with her class all week on Bainbridge Island at an environmental camp (which will be fabulous) . It rained on H and my walk this morning but was dry this afternoon so we thought we better take advantage of the day at the zoo before the hours are shortened in October. We had a really great time! The blip here is by the raptors barn where there is often a volunteer explaining all there is to know about the particular hawk on her arm. Well, no volunteer there today, so Fiona took over and we had to sit on the bench while she told us everything she could think of about her “Raptor” ---a “parrot”. what they eat (grass, leaves) and how they talk (made the sounds) Hilarious. Also the same with the monkeys and the tapir. We had to sit on the bench while she lectured us. When she wasn’t lecturing, she was directing us to hold on to the rope (our umbrella) like the kids do in her preschool when they walk anywhere. and when she wasn’t telling us what to do, she was singing (loudly) songs she made up on the spot. ( I think she’ll be a great cabaret singer...)
Two hours later, after a lot of walking, she sang in the car on the way home, had a huge dinner here, sang many more songs, put stickers all over us and H took her home!
I’ve put a set on flickr for family...- almost blipped the last photo taken at home here- she is such a ham!
(It’s a good thing her grandparents get such a big charge out of her isn’t it? Grandparents have that privilege. And ....we can take her home to her parents!)
And it’s still the Square September challenge by ambling camera.
