Joseph Conrad

This is a bust of Joseph Conrad by Jacob Epstein that is in Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

I'm not a huge fan of Conrad, I never got my head round Heart of Darkness at a crucial point in my degree.

Then, if you mix my aversion to that novel, mixed with my loathing of The Doors and you'll probably understand why I've never really warmed to Apocalypse Now.


I was listening to some angry and sweary Nick Cave whilst taking these shots, but today's song is something a little quieter by him!
