Going, going, gone ...
Today marked the end of summer in our house as Meg returned to University. I usually focus on the next return date (Christmas) and that helps a little. The day passed waiting for the outcome of Ryan's theory driving test and the inevitable "aced it" text came through. En route home I reminisced how lovely it is to be a mother and how lucky a mum I am. Then I caught sight of the biggest sun that was fast setting in my wing mirror. Within minutes I could see time was short so I pulled over, the Tye green belt one side and the cliffs the other. I paced along on foot near the cliff edge to select a decent enough view, having just swam 40 lengths of the nearby DL swimming pool which followed 8 hours at work. It was a precious sight which I didn't blip unfortunately, it had escaped across over the edge of the horizon, but I was there !
