A little statue in my brother's abode, that took my fancy and made the to-blip list :o)

Today I had a quick dinner when I got back (made a wee pasta thing and fed Allison for a change) as I was heading off out again. I went out with the vet and 2 of his friends from vet school. A great example of the diversity within the profession: one's just become an epidemiologist; the other's an imaging specialist.

I met up with the vet and the epidemiologist at the vet's home. Then we all bundled into a car and went to the referral centre where the specialist had been called into an emergency MRI. We arrived at the appropriate time... just when he needed a hand with a (cervical) CSF tap - so cool to watch and generally see the MRI room and equipment!!

Then off for a drink in a couple pubs and the specialist's flat for a nightcap. They all seem like a nice bunch. The specialist impressed me by knowing the tiny village where my mother grew up AND has heard of Shorinji Kempo! Bonus: he also offered to let me see practice with him :o)

..It's "only" a week to go now...
