Mallard madness

Popped my head over the dam wall at Greenfield Reservoir hoping to get a shot of a large number of ducks resting there. Unfortunately I spooked them all but I suppose it was lucky to get a more interesting photo. None of the ducks flew so I wonder if they are moulting the flight feathers.
